Hale Events have been running trade shows for 25 years, hosting popular food and drink buyers show The Source Trade Show in Exeter for 10.

The Source Trade Show is leaving its Exeter home for the first time next month, with Bristol’s Ashton Gate Stadium its destination.

The show will take place on Thursday 16 June, inviting exhibitors and visitors from all corners of the region’s food and drink industry to congregate at the BS3 venue.

Prospective visitors/trade buyers should register their interest for free here, while information about exhibiting at the show is available via email.

Organisers, Hale Events, are based in Axbridge, Somerset and have a great deal of experience running successful trade shows. The Bristol event on 16 June signals the first time that The Source Trade Show has taken to the road.

For a decade now, the annual Exeter trade show (next taking place between 8 and 9 February 2023) has been the South West’s biggest trade show for the food and drink sector.

In association with Taste of the West (the South West’s regional food group), BARBIE (Bristol Association of Restaurants, Bars and Independent Establishments) and an array of trade publications and local business press, the event will showcase a diverse range of businesses from all areas of the industry.

Expect artisan food and drink producers, hospitality and catering supplies, hospitality service providers, food service and food retail businesses all under one roof with over 100 exhibitors signed up already.

The announcement that The Source Trade Show is coming to BS3 has been warmly welcomed by local industry figureheads and event collaborators with John Sheaves (Taste of the West’s Chief Executive) praising the arrival, saying:

“Taste of the West is absolutely delighted to support the new Source Roadshow in Bristol, being one of the key cities and therefore markets for high-quality food and drink in the South West.

“This is a truly exciting venture that takes quality, high integrity products right into the heart of Bristol where producers will be able to share their knowledge and expertise with buyers from the city, and for us having the same Source trade show skills and expertise behind the venture provides us with great confidence.”

Nick Rowland (Director Qtos Catering Equipment), too, spoke of the city’s need for a food and drink industry trade show:

“We’ve wanted a trade show for hospitality buyers in Bristol for years. We’re delighted Hale Events are launching one because we’ve always done great business at their shows.”

Finally, BARBIE chairman, Andy Dodd added: “BARBIE Bristol welcomes this new trade show to Bristol and looks forwards to working with the organisers to make it successful & fun for Bristol’s hospitality sector.”

Those wishing to attend The Source Trade Show on Thursday 16 June can register for free on the trade show website.
