James Morrison to play gig in BathPosted on: 16 Jul 2021
James Morrison is bringing his latest tour to The Forum on Tuesday 22 March 2022.
Playing some of his most unforgettable tracks, such as 'You Give Me Something', 'Wonderful World', 'You Make It Real' and 'Broken Strings', the 'Greatest Hits' tour promises to be a heady celebration of a career spanning 15 years.
The 22-date-tour will be his first in two-and-a-half years and includes what is expected to be a sell-out show at London's Palladium in front of 45,000 people.
Morrison said in a statement, “It’s been way too long since I saw you all and I’m so excited to announce these special shows. Playing live is something I have really missed in the past year."
"Seeing as it’s been nearly 15 years since I started, many of my songs over time have taken on a new life of their own: new emotions, new meanings and new feels in the way my band has played them.
"I’ve also become a better singer and inhabit the songs in a different way now. I wanted to reflect all of that on this Greatest Hits tour. I am buzzing to be back in a room with all my fans sharing my best songs. I can’t wait to see you all, it’s going to be amazing!”
Morrison's debut album, Undiscovered, released in 2006, was the biggest of the decade, claiming the number one chart sport for two weeks and going platinum five times as it made 1.5 million domestic sales.
One year after the release of his smash-hit-packed debut, Morrison won the BRIT Award for Best Male Solo Artist. He has been nominated a further two times since then.
Follow-up full-length releases Awakening and You're Stronger Than You Know cemented his status as one of Britain's best-loved performers.
Tickets go on general sale on Thursday 22 July 2021 and can be purchased here.
