A list of cinemas in Bath and when they are reopening

Find out when your local cinema is reopening with this handy guide.

 

Following the government’s recent announcement, businesses including hairdressers, pubs, restaurants and cinemas can start to reopen from Saturday 4 July.

 

It’s good news if you’ve been itching for a haircut, a pint or a proper sit-down meal.

 

Any businesses that reopen, however, will have to comply with strict social distancing measures to keep people safe - cinemas included. 

 

Not sure if and when your local cinema is opening its doors again? Here’s a list of cinemas in Bath and when they are reopening.
 

Tivoli Cinema 


When: TBC 

 

Bath’s 2-year old luxury cinema, cafe and bar, Tivoli, has not yet announced when it’ll reopen. Keep up to date here, on the Tivoli Cinema website. 

Inside Tivoli

ODEON



When: Thursday 16 July

 

ODEON Bath, located inside the Kingsmead Leisure Complex, is reopening on Thursday 16 July. 

 

You can pre-book tickets, and see what social distancing measures will be used inside the venue, on the ODEON website.

 

The Little Theatre Cinema

 

When: from Friday 31 July 

 

Did you know? The Little Theatre was built in the 1930s. 

 

Nowadays, the two-screen arthouse cinema is run by PictureHouse Cinemas, which has said it’ll start reopening its cinemas from Friday July 31.

Little Theatre Cinema, Bath

Can’t wait? A drive-in cinema is coming to Bath next week...

 

Yep, you read that right. A drive-in cinema experience, the Drive & Dine Theatre, is coming to the Bath Racecourse next week. 

 

From Wednesday 8 July to Sunday 12 July, the drive-in cinema will screen award-winning flicks like Mamma Mia! and The BFG.

 

And, whilst you watch a flick, you can also tuck into a dish from an exclusive menu curated by Michelin-starred Chef Tom Kerridge. Find out more here

 

Whilst some of the screenings have already sold-out, there's some tickets left for family-friendly film screenings including Aladdin, Sonic the Hedgehog, Mamma Mia! and The BFG.
