This week at Komedia | What's on Bath

Posted on: 09 Dec 2019

Don't miss a big week of music, comedy, quizzes and more at one of Bath's favourite venues.

Christmas and New Year's are on the horizon, and to get you in the mood for the festive season Komedia have put together another huge week of performances and parties, including Bingo Lingo, a Scummy Mummies Christmas Show, the return of FAME and more.

Uproar! Christmas Special | Monday 9 December

Organised in collaboration with Bath Mencap, tonight's Uproar! Christmas Special will offer a relaxed, safe environment for adults with learning difficulties - and their families and friends - to cut loose and enjoy a proper festive celebration!

With Komedia's experienced residents DJs providing the soundtrack, the special edition of the much-loved Uproar! club night is a great chance for attendees and their families to enjoy a range of festive treats and dance like nobody's watching.

Bingo Lingo | Tuesday 10 December

A far cry from the dusty bingo halls and lairy old women you'd normally encounter at a bingo night, Bingo Lingo is unlike anything you've taken part in before.

Expect mini-raves, on-stage dancing, tacky prizes and much more as the hosts throw away the Bingo rulebook, with mayhem prizes, cash giveaways and non-stop excitement all on the menu for a Tuesday night to remember.

Shitty Office Disco | Wednesday 11 December

Pretty self-explanatory, this one. Expect classics and feel-good tunes from the likes of Wham, Lionel Richie, The Smiths and many, many more at Komedia's ultimate Christmas cheese-fest on Wednesday 11 December.

Students with valid ID will be treated to special discounts at the bar all night long, with select drinks available at bargain prices, including house spirit and mixers for £3.50 with the option to double up for an extra quid.

The Scummy Mummies Christmas Show - SOLD OUT | Thursday 12 December

Having received glowing reviews from The Guardian and The Telegraph, comedians Ellie Gibson and Helen Thorn are back in Bath this week, bringing their acclaimed Scummy Mummies Christmas Show to Komedia.

Based on the hit Scummy Mummies Podcast and best-selling book of the same name, the show sees Gibson and Thorn celebrate the scummier side of parenting in hilarious fashion, from drinking wine at tea time to hiding from teachers at the PTA.

FAME | Friday 13 December

Bringing you all your guilty pleasures under one roof, FAME is back at Komedia this week for another eclectic mix of nostalgic classics, modern grooves and those tunes that, sober, you wouldn't dare to sing outside the safety of your own shower.

Expect banging drinks deals from start to finish, as well as killer tracks from the likes of Diana Ross, Earth Wind & Fire, Sister Sledge, Prince and many, many more.
