Posted on: 19 Jun 2018Thursday night is going to get funky in Bath - quite literally, in fact, when fab 8-piece funk reggae group Backbeat Soundsystem hits the stage of Komedia on Thursday 21st June 2018.
Their upbeat, up-tempo sound is inspired by a feast of fine influences, and they've come a long way since their humble music-making beginnings in, of all places, Cornwall's beautiful St Austell. Cool, groovy, wholly original and with a huge fanbase, their gigs always go down a storm.
With three EPs behind them, Backback Soundsystem's fresh, sunny riffs and grooves might be familiar on your CD player, but when they perform live it's an entirely different, exhilarating experience; unrestricted and engaging musically with the audience for an all-enveloping, dynamic night of reggae-infused ryhythms and tuneage.
Age recommendation is 14+ (under 16s must be accompanied by an adult), and it's a standing show so contact the venue if you have any specific requirements.
