Posted on: 24 May 2018

Take a trip to the seaside this summer as Bastille headlines the first day of Plymouth’s Ocean City Sounds hosted by MTV in July. Taking place on the 26th and 27th July in the heart of Plymouth, Ocean City Sounds takes all the best bits of the festival atmosphere without the camping!

Appealing to a wide audience, the first night will have a contemporary feel whilst the second night will shift to an atmosphere with a nostalgic eighties and nineties dynamic.

Joining Bastille on Day One is Ella Eyre. The singer-songwriter is a two-time MOBO award winner and also has a BRIT Award to her name. Having completed four headline tours Professor Green, of Hackney will also be performing. Completing the line-up on the 26th July is eclectic and dynamic DJ duo R3WIRE & VARSKI.

On Day 2 headliners Pete Tong with the 65 member strong Heritage Orchestra, conducted by Jules Buckley, will be performing their only South West performance of 2018! The setting, overlooking Plymouth Sound, coupled with a two hour set of nineties nostalgia Ibiza Classics, makes for the perfect summer jamboree. Completing the eighties and nineties retro vibe will be one half of Groove Armada, Tom Findlay, as well as BBC Radio 1 dance DJ Danny Howard.

The iconic Plymouth Hoe, famed for Smeaton’s Tower and the breathtaking views, is the heart of Plymouth and hosts MTV Presents: Ocean City Sounds this summer.
