May Half-Term Activities at the Roman Baths, Fashion Museum and Victoria Art Gallery

Posted on: 20 May 2018

With a plethora of exciting events happening across The Fashion Museum, Roman Baths and the Victoria Art Gallery from the 26th May to the 3rd June, there is no chance of kids being bored in Bath this half-term.

Kaffe Fassett and Candace Bahouth’s exhibition “A Celebration of Flowers” has provided the inspiration for two events at the Victoria Art Gallery. Their ‘Spring Blossoms’ event will take place on Wednesday the 30th May from 10.30am-12.30pm and 1.30-3.30pm and will give children the chance to create their own beautiful floral creations using mixed media. Their second workshop ‘Trees R Green’, which will involve the construction of paper craft 3D trees, will be on Friday the 1st June at the same times.

The Roman Baths are offering a glimpse at times long past with their ‘Togas and Tunics’ and ‘Treasuring the Past’ events - the former offering an excellent excuse to play dress up and the latter involving the creation of your very own Roman-inspired treasure chest to keep your ancient coins (and perhaps some chocolate ones too) safe.

Togas and Tunics will be on the 26th/27th May and 2nd/3rd June from 10am-12.30pm and 1.30-4pm.

Treasuring the Past will be from the 28th May to the 1st June from 10am-12.30pm and 1.30-4pm.

The Fashion Museum Bath are hosting ‘Get Knitted’ on Tuesday the 29th May- a chance to find out about ‘messy knitting’ and have a go at making your very own cuff, neckpiece or whatever takes your fancy really! This will be from 10.30am-12.30pm and 1.30-3.30pm.
