Robin Maddicott and Joe Mountain originally formed The Blood Choir in Bristol, but now record from their separate bases in Denmark and the UK. This album comes as the follow up to their debut 2012 record ‘No Windows to the Old World’ and is recommended for fans of Mogwai, Talk Talk and Radiohead. The gig will be a preview of their most recent work, coming ahead of their album release in June.

The duo started recording material in 2009 for an EP which ultimately went unreleased, but nonetheless gained the attention of many people in the music scene and led to their first album which was co-produced by Tim Oliver and was released through record labels IRL and Top Cat Music.

Following this, the band toured with Arbouretum in 2012 and opened for Silver Apples, The Handsome Family, Dylan Carlson and The Magic Band.

The artists returned to the studio in early 2013 with producers Tom Dalgety (Pixies, Opeth) and Jon Walker (Arcane Roots, The Heavy) to begin work on their soon to be released new album.
