Comedian Dylan Moran to Perform at Komedia 20th and 21st September

Stand-up legend Dylan Moran is bringing his new show ‘Dr Cosmos’ to Komedia in Bath for two nights on the 20th and 21st of September 2018. The award winning comedian will discuss the subjects of love, politics, misery and life’s everyday absurdities in the classic, deadpan style which has earned him praise as “the Oscar Wilde of comedy”.

Moran is an Irish comedian, author and actor who has gained international success with his work. He is well known for TV shows ‘How Do You Want Me?’ and ‘Black Books’, and has also featured in films such as Notting Hill, Shaun of the Dead and Run Fatboy Run. Regular performances at events including the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival have secured a spot for Moran as one of the UK’s greatest live comedians.

In 1996 he became the youngest person ever to win the Perrier Award at Edinburgh Fringe. In 2001 and 2005, ’Black Books’ - the British sitcom which Moran created, wrote and starred in - was twice awarded the BAFTA for Best Situation Comedy. He has been voted as the 14th greatest stand-comic in Channel 4’s poll, and has had excellent reception at sold out venues with major tours. 

 

When asked for a summary of the show, Dylan Moran said “It’s dinner time in the monkey house, and I’ve got the spoon”.
