Beans On Toast announces 2018 Anniversary Tour with show at Bath's Komedia on 3rd May

Posted on: 12 Feb 2018

Cult English folk singer-songwriter Beans On Toast today announced a debut book release and double-vinyl release for this year, accompanied by a seated UK tour, performing on 16 dates throughout May. A show at Komedia in Bath is scheduled for Thursday 3rd May, with tickets on sale now and available here.

Beans On Toast's first book is coming out in 2018, as well as a special double-vinyl and a UK stage tour.

Touring throughout May, Beans On Toast is set to bring his enthusiastic live show to seated theatres and venues, making a change from the regular setting of pubs and clubs. The unique evening will see Beans showcase songs about his travels and experiences over the years from his huge nine-album back catalogue. Songs about love, protest and drinking are intertwined with the crazy adventures they've led him on.

The appropriately-named Sitting On A Chair tour coincides with the release of Beans On Toast's first book, Drunk Folk Stories - a collection of ten short, true stories about travelling, songwriting and drinking. Featuring the likes of Billy Bragg and Banksy, the book takes from from Glastonbury to Wembley via The Bahamas and provide first-hand accounts of drunken escapades, car crashes, recreational drugs and burning pubs. Like his music, Drunk Folk Stories is full of grace and honesty, injected with a trademark sense of humour.

Also due for release this year is a highly anticipated re-release of the 2009 album Standing On A Chair. The huge 50-track record will be released as a special double-vinyl, and features crowd favourites MDMAmazing, The Price Of Rice and Don't Believe The Bullshit, as well as cameos from the likes of Justin Young and Frank Turner.

Beans On Toast's Sitting On A Chair tour sees him perform at Komedia on 3rd May.

The re-release of Standing On A Chair and Drunk Folk Stories are both scheduled for Tuesday 1st May, the eve of the upcoming tour. The Beans On Toast show at Komedia on Thursday 3rd May is just the second date on the schedule, following the first in Brighton the night before.

"9 years might seem a strange anniversary to celebrate but when he started putting these plans together Beans thought it had been 10 years. But he thought f**k it and went ahead with it anyway. Such is his way".

Tickets for the Sitting On A Chair tour and pre-orders for the Vinyl and Book releases are on sale now and can be found here. For more information and to follow tour updates, visit Beans On Toast's official website or check out his Facebook page.
