It has a fantastic range of healthy options for kids such as grilled salmon fillet with veg, sweet potato fries and strawberry & banana lollipops for dessert. It has a nice relaxed atmosphere, so you won't feel out of place with the little ones, and the service is always super friendly.

Jamie's came top in the Soil Association's 2016 Out to Lunch league table, which scores restaurants across the UK for the healthiness of their meals for children. There are lots of healthy meals that kids are sure to love including pasta with a seven-veg tomato sauce, baby organic beef burgers and organic ice lollies. We've all seen Jamie Oliver's efforts on TV to make kids healthier so you know this will be a good place for a nutritious family dinner.

The egg Café is perfect for tots because it has its own play area, so you can eat while they play. You can go to the café even if you're not going to the egg theatre, and they have a range of light lunches, snacks, indulgent cakes and drinks. The egg theatre hold shows especially for children so if you're heading there it'll be worth checking what's on so you can make a day of it!

This might surprise a few of you, but Wagamama have a delicious range of mini Japanese dishes for children that are nutritionally balanced. If your little ones love noodles or rice they'll lap up the mini chicken ramen, mini chicken yaki soba and the yasai cha han which is made with lots of vegetables. So you can enjoy your favourite curry or stry fry while the kids get something tasty, healthy and a little bit different.

As you probably know, Wetherspoons aren't known for offering healthy meals but what they do they do well. Cheap pub grub is their speciality, but each kids meal includes a drink and a bag of apple slices so that's a bonus. If you want to save a bit of money or you have several kids to take out then Wetherspoons is the perfect option. You'll find the British classics like chicken nuggets with various sides, pasta, sausages and jacket potatoes.

It has a similar feel to Wetherspoons in that it serves kids' favourite food cheaply and simply. On offer you have meals like pizza, spaghetti bolognese, sausage & mash and desserts including old-school jelly and ice cream. Children's meals are only £6.95 which includes a trip to the salad bar or a freshly grilled corn on the cob, an unlimited soft drink and a dessert. Bargain!

Café Rouge doesn't look like a typical child-friendly restaurant at first glance. However you might be as surprised as we were to know they offer a fantastic meal deal for children which includes a small starter, main, dessert and drink for £6.95. A great choice if you want to enjoy the delicious adult meals they offer without compromising on quality for the children, with a little French twist on English classics.

Kids can enjoy scrumptious Italian dishes like calzone and starters like fried mozzarella cheese or salad. And if the dessert can't tempt them we don't know what will - Nutella and banana mini calzone! There are healthy options too though, so there's enough variety for everyone. So it's even more amazing that 3 courses and a drink from the kids menu is only £6.59 (5-11 years) but if you have even younger children they get that for £3.99!

Pizza Express is well-known in the family dining world because they have the casual relaxed atmosphere that families want as well as delicious pizzas and desserts. You can't go wrong! They also offer 3 courses for £6.95 from the kids menu, with the option to choose from the iconic dough balls, 3 different pasta dishes and 4 different pizzas. Desserts include chocolate brownie and a 'bambinoccino' (frothed milk topped with chocolate powder).
